Help finding a job in the USA

Through the Welcome Employment Exchange, beneficiaries will be able to find open positions at various levels and apply for jobs that best suit their skills.

What Don’t Venezuelans Get Under Humanitarian Parole?

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) provides several benefits to Afghan and Ukrainian immigrants under their respective humanitarian parole programs.

However, Venezuelans do not have access to such services because congressional authorization and funding are required, a spokesman for the agency told VOA.

Some of the benefits covered by ORR but not available to Venezuelans include cash assistance, medical assistance, job readiness, instruction in English classes for young people, and technical assistance for entrepreneurs.

“Like many other asylum seekers who come to the United States, Venezuelans on humanitarian parole must make their own way without this assistance, which can be very difficult while they wait to qualify for work authorization,” the senior policy said analyst Julia Gelatt. Migration Policy Institute.

“Even when immigrants are granted work authorization, many struggle to find jobs that will support them in the United States,” he added.

Rep. Adriano Espaillat of New York; Kay Granger of Texas; Madeleine Dean of Pennsylvania; Greg Stanton of Arizona and Rosa DeLauro of Connecticut — all Venezuelans state – did not respond to VOA’s request for comment.

“President Biden controls (humanitarian) parole, not Congress,” said a spokeswoman for María Elvira Salazar, representative of Florida’s 27th District. “The government uses it as it sees fit and we don’t know why they target some groups and disenfranchise others,” the spokesman said.
